GIVE  

Giving is one way we join Jesus in the restoration of all things. Your gifts support our ministries and our Kingdom partnerships in our city and around the world. 

It’s also an important part of our discipleship. Discipleship to Jesus involves our whole lives for our whole lives, including our finances. The practices of simple living, grateful contentment, and worshipful giving guide our financial stewardship. They are essential to formation into Christlikeness, to our care for one another, and to our participation in God’s mission.

WHY DO WE GIVE?

Everything we have comes from God. Even the ability to work and earn are his gifts. Everything we have belongs to God.

He entrusts us to faithfully steward his gifts for the good of his Kingdom. (Genesis 2:7-9 and 15-16; Deuteronomy 18:11-18; Psalm 24:1; Matthew 10:8; 1 Peter 4:10)

God invites us to give a portion of what he’s given us back to him in gratitude, joy, and trust. We offer him the first and best of our resources as a sign of offering our whole lives to him. (Deuteronomy 14:22-23; Proverbs 3:9-10; Matthew 22:18-21; 2 Corinthians 8:1-9 and 9:5-8; 1 Thessalonians 5:18)

God is a generous God. He delights in giving good gifts to his children. We were created to reflect his work and character to his world. When we give, we participate in the Spirit’s work of making us more like Christ. (Genesis 1:26-30; Matthew 5:45-48; 7:7-12; Luke 12:32-34; Ephesians 4:20-28; Colossians 3:10; 2 Peter 1:3-4)

When we live with transformed hearts and open hands, we join Jesus in the restoration of all things. Our giving becomes God’s means for making disciples, meeting needs, partnering with ministries and missionaries, and planting churches - all for the common good. (Deuteronomy 14:28-29, 15:7-11; Luke 3:11-14; 1 Timothy 6:17-19; Acts 4:32-35)

THE PRACTICE OF GIVING

At Communion of Saints, we invite everyone to follow Jesus with our finances through these practices.

Give Something

If you are new to following Jesus, new to our church, or new to giving, we invite you to begin your financial discipleship by simply giving something. This could be a one-time or an occasional gift.

Give Regularly

As you learn to trust Jesus with your money, we invite you to continue your financial discipleship by giving regularly. Make giving a consistent practice by giving every time you worship or by setting up recurring giving online or through your IRA or donor advised fund.

Give Generously

Once giving becomes a regular practice, we invite you to prayerfully grow in generosity. Take some time to reflect on how your resources serve God’s Kingdom. Consider simplifying your life to give more generously or increasing the percentage of your income you give as the Spirit leads.

Give Sacrificially

The goal of discipleship is to become people who reflect the sacrificial love of God revealed on the cross. In our financial discipleship, this could look like a significant gift, long-term commitment, or legacy offering through your will or trust. Always seek wisdom from your loved ones and your financial advisors in your discernment process.

Giving appreciated stock can be a tax-advantaged way to support the church.

To give stock, please use this form for our brokerage information and transfer instructions. We recommend consulting your financial advisor before initiating a transfer.

You can make a distribution through your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) provider. Be sure to use the church’s legal name “Communion of Saints Church”  and Tax ID (EIN: 39-3728018).  Include your name and fund designation when possible so we can acknowledge your gift. Your distribution can be mailed to:

If you are age 70½ or older, you may give directly from your IRA through a Qualified Charitable Distribution. To do this, contact your IRA administrator and request a QCD payable directly to the church. Using the church’s name and mailing address will help ensure your gift is processed correctly.

You can make a lasting impact by including the church in your estate plans. Legacy gifts may be made through a will, trust, or by naming the church as a beneficiary of a retirement account or life insurance policy. Login to your profile through our website or the Church Center app. Select the give button. Find “My Giving/View My Giving”. Here you can update your giving and  see your donation history.



As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, eligible donations made to our church are tax-deductible. We provide annual giving statements for tax purposes at the end of January. 



We are committed to stewarding every gift with integrity, transparency, and accountability. Our budgets and financial statements are reviewed and approved by our Elders. Our financial management is supported by a team of accountants with Bright & Associates to help ensure responsible financial practices and strong stewardship.

Generosity is ultimately about who we are and how we live, not the amount we give. We can practice generosity in so many ways, including offering our time and gifts to serve others.
