Eastertide
Eastertide, is the season in which the Church learns to live in the reality of the resurrection—not as a past event, but as a present way of life marked by joy, renewal, and mission. Moving from the celebration of Easter through the unfolding encounters with the risen Christ, to the Ascension and finally Pentecost, this season invites us into a shared rhythm that forms us over time.
As a church, we embody this by being a community of disciples formed in our common faith in the risen Jesus, shaped through our common life of worship, Scripture, and fellowship, and sent out for the common good—living as a resurrection people who reflect hope, practice generosity, and participate in God’s renewing work in the world.
Some ways to "feast" during the season of Eastertide
Stay Rooted in Scripture
Keep your time with God simple and consistent—consider reading through Acts and praying intentionally during this season, asking the Holy Spirit to continue his transformative work as you follow him.
Wednesday Prayer Together
Join others from Communion of Saints to pray Pslams of Thanksgiving together on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:00am. This will be a space for prayer and celebration.

Practice Daily Gratitude
Begin and end each day by naming a few simple gifts from God. Let gratitude re-center your heart on His presence and goodness.
Cultivate Life & Beauty
Plant something, bring flowers into your home, or light a candle at the table daily. Small acts of care can shape a home marked by joy and renewal.
Share Meals Intentionally
Eat together often—whether with family, neighbors, or your meal group. Let simple, shared meals become a rhythm of connection and belonging. Use a liturgy for feasting with friends to enter this time together.

Live Simply & Celebrate Generously
Declutter your home, share what you have, and mark this season with joy—through special meals, small treats, and gathering often to remember and rejoice in what God has done.
Serve Our City Together
Join your community or meal group in serving the needs of our city—especially through City Serve (May 1–2). Look for ways to love and bless Colorado Springs together in tangible ways.

Extend Joy to Others
Offer encouragement through a note, a conversation, or simple hospitality. Carry a posture of kindness into your everyday interactions.
Walk with God in Creation
Take regular walks, step outside with your coffee, or simply open your windows. Receive creation as a gift and a reminder of new life in Christ.
Practice Sabbath Rest
Set aside time each week to rest, delight, and be renewed. Receive Sabbath as a gift, not a burden—an opportunity to enjoy God and His good world.
